About Bowtell Property
Local Roots
I moved to Somerset at 12, when my Dad's career in the RAF brought us here — and I never left. It's the longest I've lived anywhere, and Wessex genuinely is home to me. That's not a marketing line: it's why I chose to build this business here rather than anywhere else. I know these towns, these villages, and what it's actually like to buy and sell property in this area.
Why I started this business
After a period of ill health that kept me out of work for a while, I knew I wanted to build something of my own — a business where I set the terms, and where hard work translates directly into supporting myself and my family. Property was something I'd always been drawn to but never known how to break into, until the right opportunity came along. I'm currently training with a team of experienced property coachs to make sure I'm doing this properly and doing right by the people I work with, whether that's a family selling a home or an investor looking for their next opportunity.
Before Bowtell Property
I studied Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at Bath Spa University, and spent the years around that working in hospitality, retail, and sales — always in roles where I was dealing directly with people, listening to what they needed, and finding a way to help. That's stayed with me. These days I teach swimming to children aged 4 to 10, which — perhaps surprisingly — has taught me a lot about patience, clear communication, and meeting people exactly where they are.
